TALLAHASSEE INNOVATION DAY COULD BOOST PATENTS IN FLORIDA
According to a press release from ITFlorida, Tallahassee will host Innovation Day, Monday and Tuesday April 17-18, 2006. Innovation Day will be a great opportunity for the high tech community to demonstrate support to the Florida Legislators for the benefits of the Governor’s $630 million Innovation agenda.
Innovation Day will also include an Idearaiser, hosted by ITFlorida, which is a system implemented by the House of Representatives to document creative and new ideas that have potential effects on Floridian lives without necessitating government expansion.
Though Innovation Day is not geared specifically toward patents, there is definitely a strong connection, as these incentives for producing innovative ideas will indirectly impact the intellectual property arena, as more people are motivated to think of new products and systems, likely protecting them with the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
